Netta Brielle - Deceitful Love by Jeffro Music
Wow!
Just wow!
The whole time I neglected this blog and even forgot about it! Just now had a reminder in my mailbox and thought, hey, why not waking it up again and trying to write a little about what I love most. Music!
So here we go again, The Soul Formula is back!

Hey y'all, here I am again, I know, sorry for having you wait so long, but a lot went on and I hardly ever made it to my blog, I also tried to figure out how to insert a shout box into this page, so you can leave me some messages, but have no clue yet. I have the code, but I have no clue how to insert it here, maybe one of you will know ;).

Latest news first:

Eminem cancelled his Europe tour.
Not that I really mind, but that's annoying for all those fans who already had the ticket in their hands.
He cancelled it out of "drug-problems" and went into rehab. As far as the media said, there is no concert planned, to make up for the cancellation. So, hurry and get your money back folks!

.................
In September, there will be a tribute CD coming out, tribute to who? The big and never forgotten Luther Vandross. This CD will feature artists like Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Babyface, Beyonce and many more.

..................

And, oh my! Ralph Tresvant, THE MAN of New Jack Swing days and part of New Edition is currently recording his new album which is expected to hit stores in late fall.
Now, I am totally anxious to hear that album!

....................................

Will Usher throw the towel?

Rumor says that Usher looks up to Diddy and Jay-Z, for them having built a massive imperium and Usher is thinking about doing the same. Take a break from it all and moving to New York, working on establishing the same that his two role- models have.
My opinion? Noooo, no break please, keep feeding us your good music Ush... ;o)

Ok, time for music.

Babyface's new album "Grown and sexy" is out and I am bit disappointed, I expected more "hits". There are only a few that I really really like, which are
"Good to be in love", "Can't stop now", "She's international" and
"Grown and sexy"
Aaron Hall is back!
His album "Adults only" is awesome, he has a genuine voice and grabbed the right team to work with on this album!
One of my many favorites is
"Hands on me"
You remember 3LW? Cynthia Lisette was supposed to become the newest member of this R&B girlgroup, but then they chose someone else, so what the heck, she is just doing her own thing now, good choice!
Her song "Take me" is really great and smooth, I can see myself shaking my butt to it in the club ;o)
Avant worked with Jermaine Dupri and created that famous JD typical sound, it's called
"You know what"
His brandnew album is coming out around October 2005
Snippet:

Common helped out the female duo Floetry with their hit "Superstar" and the icing on the cake is that Scott Storch is the producer of this song (ok, what DIDN'T he produce these days, lol)
Snippet:

Styles P., Akon and Lil Jon slamming tha beat on
"Can you believe it"
And last but not least here are two classics of the good ol' times:
DJ Quik with
"Tonite"
Levert with
"Just coolin'"
Hope you enjoy your weekend and hey, if you like, leave some friendly comments :)
See ya soon!

Hello everybody!

Since I saw so many people having a blog, I decided to start one too.
One about my favorite thing, MUSIC!
R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and New Jack Swing that is.

I want to bring you a good mix out of new and old.
The stuff that is talked about these days and also the stuff that has almost been forgotten.

Keep checking back, I will try to update this as often as my time allows me to.

As I searched through my CD collection the other day, my eyes caught several that I didn't listen to in a long time, such as Jodeci, Troop, Basic Black and so on.
I often wonder what happened to these bands from way back when?

I know the singer of Troop is on a solo trip right now, his name is
AL MAC
and you can find his music on
http://www.soundclick.com/pro/?BandID=64190

When you listen to it, it makes you miss Troop so much.

And man, another floor burner was this:

Wrecks'n'effect: New Jack Swing

Or one of my all time fav.

Keith Sweat: Keep it comin'

Back to the now...

I saw the video of Chris Brown last night, "Run it", it is pretty decent, I like how they dance and needless to say that the song is awesome!
Here is a little snippet:

Another cat on the market is Chamillionaire out of Houston, Texas; cool beats (of course, he is produced by Scott Storch!), smooth sound, hear it yourself (Snippet of the song "Turn it up"):

He started out with doing a lot of songs for DJ's and their mixtapes, guess that is one good way to finally make it and get a deal...

A new chick to watch out for is Cassie, produced by Ryan Leslie and his famous Next Selection team. Unfortunately images of her online are rare, but I am sure that will change soon...

I am pretty sure you already danced to the moving jam "Me and U" featuring Ray J. , it's played in every good club:

another one, very romantic and smooth is "Kiss me", which she sings with Ryan Leslie himself, *sigh*:

Yay, Toni Braxton is back! After "Please" she is now liking it like that ;o)

Ok folks, that's it for today, I'll talk to y'all later with more info, songs and thoughts.

Be safe...
